Upon arrival at Athens Airport, meet our representative and proceed to your hotel. Overnight at Athens.
Early in the morning, we will leave for the Corinth Canal. The next stop will be a visit to the famous Mycenae, Mythical Agamemnon, the Cyclopean walls, the Lions Gate and the royal tombs. Depart for Nafplion, the first capital of Greece in Argolis, the picturesque town nestling at the foot of a cliff crowned by the mighty ramparts of the Palamidi Fortress. Overnight to Nafpilon.
Next morning leave for Olympia, the birthplace of the Olympic Games. Visit the archeological site of Ancient Olympia, Sanctuary of Olympian Zeus, the Ancient Stadium and the Archaeological Museum, with the impressive statue of Hermes of Praxiteles. In the afternoon the journey continues to the north, over the Rio-Antirio Bridge, and to Delphi.
Early in the morning, we will leave for Kalambaka via Thebes, Levadia and the picturesque village of Arachova, and arrive in Delphi. We will visit the ruins of the Sanctuary of Apollo Pythios and the marble Treasury of the Athenians, built to store the rich offerings of grateful kings. Next to the small picturesque city of Kalambaka, passing through beautiful villages and cities of Central Greece, all built according to the traditional local architecture. Overnight in Kalambaka.
Post breakfast we will visit Meteora. Distinct rock formations, rising high with Christian monasteries built at the top. Return to Athens via Trikala, Lamia, Thermopylae (shortstop to see across the road the Leonida’s Monument). Arrival in Athens early in the evening.
Post breakfast, our tour concludes. Take a souvenir from the city of heritage and end your happy holiday.
