  1. The Great Nicobar Island

The island is huge and sparsely populated for a location like this! Well, that’s also because of the torrential tsunami in 2004. However, the island is much vibrant and is popularly known for its rainforest which hoards a number of wildlife species, which in turn makes it a WORLD biosphere reserve! You can always meet the ‘Shompen’ tribe here which is the largest tribe in the world! Moreover, Campbell Bay is a stupendous sight owing to a vivacious collection of fauna, which includes, crab-eating macaque, giant robber crab, megapode, and Nicobar pigeon. Are you reading dear wildlife photographers? Well, if yes, then you are surely close enough to your piece of redemption!

P.s, do not miss out on Indira point. We repeat- DO NOT!

  1. Rangat

Rangat is the Hindi name for “colorful scenes”. Much likely to be an apt justification of its name, Rangat is totally scenic and aesthetic owing to the wide range of fauna and flora it houses! It’s much known for its Cuthbert Bay beach, because of being the breeding ground for turtles. Well, well, you will find a number of turtle species here, namely sea green turtles, hawksbill turtles, leatherback turtles and just to name a few. The Cuthbert bay wildlife sanctuary is right on the beach, enabling you to watch the turtles crawl back into the sea. What a wow!! Also, you can always make an effort towards marine conservation by releasing turtle hatchlings. Other popular tourist attractions include- Panchvati hills, Amkunj beach, Long Island, etc.

  1. Havelock Islands

The name in itself is honorary and speaks for Radhanagar Beach, one of the most popular beaches in the world as awarded by TIME magazine in 2004. The waters of the Radhanagar beach are crystal-clear and something that makes it a must-visit! You have a number of water activities here. The long list includes scuba diving, boating, snorkeling, fishing, etc. Even elephant rides are popular here. Now, the beach is rather filled with a thick air of romance for couples are often seen falling for each other in this land of love and serenity. 1. Port Blair

The capital city has an air of honor and respect in itself as it plays an important tribute to all the freedom fighters who sacrificed themselves for us to live and breathe in a free country! The Cellular jail here is infamous for its ancient existence, made solely for the solitary confinement of the prisoners. Moreover, Port Blair makes it accessible for the tourists to reach the mainland, via ferries. These ferries further take you to other islands. Places to visit include- National Park, Japanese Bunkers, Chatham Saw Mill, Chidiya Tapu, Samundrika Marine Museum, North Bay Island, Jolly Buoy Island.
