Uttarakhand, also known as Devbhumi, is a Himalayan state in North India with unspoiled natural beauty and spirituality (or the Land of the Gods). The state, originally known as Uttaranchal, was carved out of Uttar Pradesh and is a region that not only has a breathtaking view of the Himalayas but also a cultural ethos that speaks of harmonious coexistence with nature.

Uttarakhand is a famous pilgrimage destination since it is the source of the Ganga and the Yamuna, two of Hinduism’s most sacred rivers. The Char Dhams, or Hindu pilgrimage sites, are located in Uttarakhand and include Gangotri, Yamunotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath. Thousands of people visit Uttarakhand each year to pay their respects to the Char Dhams.

Uttarakhand gives a look into an unspoiled and idyllic environment with oaks, birches, silver firs, and rhododendrons gracing the high mountain slopes. So, when are you visiting?!
