Step into the bed of flowers while you head out for this one of a kind beautiful trek. You will start this trek from Govindghat via Joshimath which will lead you to Hemkund Sahib. With the verdant beauty of the snowcapped mountains in the backdrop, the green meadows and the white clouds blend to make dreamlike Valley of Flowers trek.
Assemble at Haridwar Railway Station. Begin a long distance, uphill drive from Haridwar to Govindghat
Morning, post breakfast start your trek for about 6-7 hours towards the valley of flowers, and then return journey to Ghangaria.
Today will be wholesome of the religious day when you visit the religious site of Guru Gobind Singh.And after lunch, start a late afternoon trek back to Ghangaria. Dinner .
Returning trip from Ghangaria to Govind Ghat. If you desire, you can take a tour to Auli in the evening.

Best time to go for the trek is from July to September, after the first monsoon rains and when the flowers are in full bloom.
The Valley of Flowers Trek is a four day long journey which begins at the base camp Govindghat. You have to trek for 14 KM from Govindghat until Ghangaria which would be a 8-10 hour trekking time. From the base camp Ghangaria, the Valley of Flowers is another 14 KM by trekking and you would be required to walk for 7-8 hours to cover this distance.
The trek starts from Haridwar and ends at Haridwar. Minimum time for this Haridwar – The Valley of Flowers – Haridwar trek is six days. On this trek, the trail on the foot begins after Joshimath. Haridwar to Joshimath can be reached by bus. Distance on road is 235 Km and it is a scenic drive of 8-10 hours.
Weather is generally not much of spoil spot for a trek Valley of the Flowers. The average temperature here is 16 to 18 degree Celsius. Snowfall or rain fall is not expected on Valley of Flowers trek in the Himalayas.
When you are interior parts of Himalayas you can hardly be sure of cell phones networks. One can get telecom networks till Haridwar and if lucky than till Joshimath but after that your cell phone won’t have any network connectivity.
