However, the island is much vibrant and is popularly known for its rainforest which hoards a number of wildlife species, which in turn makes it a WORLD biosphere reserve! You can always meet the ‘Shompen’ tribe here which is the largest tribe in the world! Moreover, Campbell Bay is a stupendous sight owing to a vivacious collection of fauna, which includes, crab-eating macaque, giant robber crab, megapode, and Nicobar pigeon. - Rangat
Rangat is the Hindi name for “colorful scenes”. Much likely to be an apt justification of its name, Rangat is totally scenic and aesthetic owing to the wide range of fauna and flora it houses! It’s much known for its Cuthbert Bay beach, because of being the breeding ground for turtles. Well, well, you will find a number of turtle species here, namely sea green turtles, hawksbill turtles, leatherback turtles and just to name a few. The Cuthbert bay wildlife sanctuary is right on the beach, enabling you to watch the turtles crawl back into the sea. What a wow!! Also, you can always make an effort towards marine conservation by releasing turtle hatchlings. Other popular tourist attractions include- Panchvati hills, Amkunj beach, Long Island, etc.
- Havelock Islands
The name in itself is honorary and speaks for Radhanagar Beach, one of the most popular beaches in the world as awarded by TIME magazine in 2004. The waters of the Radhanagar beach are crystal-clear and something that makes it a must-visit! You have a number of water activities here. - Baratang Island
Baratang island should be a must-visit in your itinerary for Andaman and Nicobar Islands. You have the “Jarwa Tribe” here who live in the thick canopy of the forest. However, the sea crocodiles are here too, and is therefore advisable to not go near the waters. Furthermore, the Limestone caves draw all your attention, that have been formed due to the erosion.
