Rajgir and Bodh Gaya is a place where the air holds clues of spirituality and colourful colours of history with linkages to both Buddhism and Jainism.
Rajgir is a spiritual village with natural serenity among lush forests, intriguing caverns, and springs, set in a verdant valley and bordered by rugged hills. Rajgir is home to a number of religious sites, most of which are dedicated to Buddhism or Jainism. Lord Buddha and Lord Mahavir are reported to have spent time here, making it spiritually and religiously significant. It is possible to see different ruins, temples, and locations here, as well as relax and enjoy the tranquilly.
Travel to Rajgir. Arrive and transfer to hotel. Check-in into the hotel and then visit Japanese Stupa- It was built as a symbol of world peace by the Japanese, Saptaparni Caves- referred to as Sapta parni Guha or Sattapanni Guha, literally Seven-leaves-cave, is a Buddhist cave site. Visit Nalanda University- Nalanda University Archaeological Complex is the excavated site of the ancient university, Hiuen Tsang Memorial hall- Built as a dedication to the Chinese scholar Hiuen Tsang, this memorial is a distinct reminder of the architectural style of the Nalanda University.
The great Stupa- Present amongst the ruins of the Nalanda University. This structure is shaped like a pyramid and is flanked by flights of steps and splendid sculptures as well.
Back to Rajgir. Take rest.

After breakfast proceeds for a day trip to Bodh Gaya – Considered one of the most important Buddhist pilgrimage sites. Visit Mahabodhi Temple–The Mahabodhi Temple serves to be the main and most important attraction in Bodh Gaya. Great Buddha Statue– This statue of Lord Buddha is the tallest in India and was instated by the XIV Dalai Lama. It is a meditating Buddha resting on a giant lotus. Bodhi Tree- Bodhi Tree is the tree that Lord Buddha meditated under before he could attain enlightenment. Thai Monastery.
