Sultanpur National Park is located at Sultanpur village on the Gurugram-Jhajjar highway, 15 km from Gurugram, Haryana, and 50 km from Delhi in India. This covers approximately 142.52 hectares. It is a bird paradise for bird watchers.
This sanctuary is famous for both migratory as well as resident birds. If you are planning to visit here, do visit in the winter months as it is a perfect time to pay a visit to Sultanpur Bird Sanctuary.

4. Najafgarh Drain Bird Sanctuary, Delhi

Najafgarh Drain Bird Sanctuary is situated 30kms from Dwarka on a scenic road, it is spread across 5000 acres of land. It is a wetland ecosystem that attracts migratory birds, the place is well connected to the Yamuna river by a drain or nullah known as Najafgarh nullah. The sanctuary is mainly famous for Flamingoes and other beautiful birds like red-wattled lapwing, golden eagle, koel bird, black kite, pigeons, tailor bird, myna bird, cattle egret, and other local birds.

It is a wildlife habitat on several kilometers of the Najafgarh drain or nullah which passes through rural southwest Delhi in India’s capital territory. This sanctuary attracts many bird-watchers, poachers, and people of Delhi and surrounding areas owing to its large variety of migratory birds.

Nal Sarovar is one of the largest wetland bird sanctuaries in India and the largest in the whole of Gujarat. The best time to visit this sanctuary is in winter as it is inhabited by many migratory birds from the months of November to March. Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary is situated at Kumarakom in Kottayam taluk of Kottayam district in the Indian state of Kerala. Set in the backwaters of Kerala is visited by many rare migratory birds. The sanctuary is located on the banks of Lake Vembanad, it is a favorite haunt of migratory birds, local birds, and other common species as well.

Migratory birds like the egret, heron, Siberian stork, teak, and darter along with local birds like the cuckoo, water hen & owl are also found here. One can easily spot the common species of birds like cranes, woodpeckers, parrots, skylarks, and many more.
