1. The Dubai Mall
We start here, cause yes, of course, this one’s the best. The Dubai Mall is the largest in the world and has tonnes of stores to quench your thirst for shopping (1,300 to be exact). It also boasts of over 200 dining outlets, set over 5.9 million square feet. It’s fascinating that you’ll find one of the world’s biggest aquariums, plus an underwater zoo inside the mall. Not only that, there’s an ice rink, a huge cinema, and even a KidZania to let the kids enjoy as well. So, shop until you drop, literally!
2. Mall Of The Emirates
The Mall of the Emirates is the second most popular mall in Dubai, and it’s exquisitely amazing. This one’s a better alternative for tourists who are not that high on energy and are surely working around the clock. Unlike Dubai Mall, Mall of the Emirates is smaller and yet, has a great selection of popular high-end brands, medium-sized stores, and two food courts. You are also to find Vox Cinemas which has a 4DX screen and its own Theater by Rhodes, delivering the ultimate cinema and dining experience.
3. Dubai Festival City
Festival City isn’t a conventional mall, for it might not be that close for some. However, it’s worth giving a shot in case you’re driving. It isn’t that busy a mall, and hence you are sure to find clothing pieces that aren’t to be found at other malls. It’s also close to IKEA, in case you need to pick up any bits for the home while you’re there. Your favorite high-end stores are here, including a new store of ZARA. There’s even a spectacular laser light show at night now.
4. Ibn Battuta
Ibn Battuta is very close to Dubai Marina, just before the Jebel Ali Salik Gate (and not a lot of people know this). This one’s a huge mall and so you’ll eventually circle back, no matter which entrance you take. Each section, or court, is named and themed after a different country, making it convenient for you to choose. The elaborate display sweeps you right off your comfortable footing- from giant elephant sculptures to a huge wooden ship. There’s a cinema at one end and a large Carrefour at the other, with a lot of eating joints in between.
5. Dubai Marina Mall
This one’s a mini-mall, making it absolutely easy to pick just one thing. However, it might be a small mall, but with a lot of popular shops to get around. There’s also a food court and cinema on the top floor and some popular restaurants on the ground level. It’s directly connected to Pier 7, in case you want to change into your newly bought outfit and head straight to the bar.
6. City Walk
Despite being a small mall, City Walk is a great shopping destination for premium retail stores. You’ll find shops such as Level Shoes, Urban Decay, Sandro Paris, and Karl Largerfeld.
